About the role

Engineering Manager leading the Conversion Modeling team focused on predicting lower-funnel user actions for Reddit Ads, with deep ML expertise, strategic vision, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Define the team’s vision and a long-term technical roadmap for conversion modeling in Ads
  • Architect and implement deep learning models for ranking, recommendation, or conversion modeling
  • Oversee end-to-end ML lifecycle from ideation to deployment in production systems
  • Lead and mentor a diverse, high-performing ML engineering team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, DS, and other engineering teams to align on engagement strategies, data requirements, and model KPIs
  • Innovate in ML architectures tailored to conversion prediction using deep learning and advanced ML techniques

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience building and managing high-performing ML teams (Ads domain preferred)
  • Hands-on deep ML expertise with production-scale models (training, evaluation, deployment)
  • Experience with Ads conversion modeling, ranking (heavy ranker), and recommendations
  • Strategic thinking to develop and communicate a clear technical strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Impact-driven mindset with focus on scalable, responsible AI solutions
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional partnerships
  • Ads conversion modeling experience is a plus
