Founding Engineer
About the role
Founding Engineer role at Rovi Health, an AI-powered care concierge and virtual clinic for employer health plans. You will own end-to-end product surfaces and architecture as part of the founding team, delivering scalable systems for an AI-enabled virtual clinic and early intervention workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own entire product surfaces end to end: understand customer problems, decide what to build, architect the solution, write code, ship it, and measure impact.
- Own the architecture that ties together platforms for text interactions, asynchronous clinical care, AI orchestration, and employer savings visualization.
- Build early intervention systems using claims data, clinical records, and live patient interactions to catch costly procedures or missed follow-ups and trigger appropriate responses.
- Design and scale the virtual clinic, with AI handling intake and triage and clinicians focusing on parts requiring human expertise.
- Make architecture decisions to support growth from thousands to orders of magnitude in members, ensuring real-time responsiveness.
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years building software. Deep in Python, React, and TypeScript.
- Experience owning products end to end, from user conversations to shipped product and impact measurement.
- Experience building and running production systems with real stakes; healthcare or fintech experience a plus.
- Experience shipping AI/ML in production, including agent systems, LLM orchestration, and data-heavy pipelines.
- Preference for ownership and handling ambiguity over strictly defined ticket lanes.
