Senior / Staff Founding Engineer
About the role
Senior/Staff founding engineer role at Rovi Health, an AI-powered care concierge and virtual clinic for employer health plans. You will own end-to-end product surfaces, architecture, and systems, with direct access to founders and a chance to shape engineering culture in a YC-backed startup.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end product surfaces: problem discovery, architecture, coding, shipping, and measurement of impact.
- Own the platform architecture linking text-based member interactions, clinician workflows, AI agents, and employer dashboards.
- Build early intervention systems using claims data, clinical records, and live patient interactions to trigger cost-saving, quality-improving actions.
- Design and scale the virtual clinic infrastructure, with AI-driven intake/triage and human clinician collaboration.
- Make architecture decisions to support rapid growth while maintaining real-time responsiveness.
Qualifications
- 8+ years building software
- Deep experience with Python, React, and TypeScript
- Owned products end to end from user conversations to shipped product and impact measurement
- Built and run production systems with high stakes (healthcare or fintech a plus)
- Shipped AI/ML in production (agent systems, LLM orchestration, data-heavy pipelines)
- Prefer ownership mindset and willingness to navigate ambiguity over strictly defined lanes
