About the role

Store Floor Lead at Sur La Table, Natick, MA, a part-time on-site leadership role supporting the GM/SM, acting as Manager on Duty to drive sales, operations, and a best-in-class customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to elevate performance and team engagement. Communicate performance issues to the General Manager/Store Manager.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of new associates.
  • Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
  • Stay current on products and training opportunities to maintain expertise.
  • Lead a customer-focused, Guest Obsessed culture and address customer concerns promptly.
  • Support achievement of store sales goals through effective customer engagement and team motivation.
  • Maximize selling opportunities by identifying customer needs and offering relevant solutions.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals; performance measured by KPIs (sales volume, average transaction value, conversion rates).
  • Direct employees to maintain stock levels and proper merchandising on the selling floor.
  • Complete inventory transactions (receiving, MOS, RARs).
  • Adhere to wage and hour laws; accurately record time worked per SLT policy.
  • Model and enforce all SLT policies and SOPs.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment.
  • 1 year of retail management experience, preferably in a specialty or culinary retail environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to inspire, develop, and retain a high performing team.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.
