About the role

Digital Reporter network role for Depositions by Filevine, enabling remote notarial proceedings through Zoom with flexible, contractor-based work opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Zoom sessions with professionalism and warmth, creating a smooth and welcoming experience for all participants.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues for attendees (e.g., muted audio, screen sharing).
  • Safeguard transcript quality by ensuring optimal audio conditions for the transcription software.
  • Administer oaths, manage on/off-the-record moments, and handle procedural steps supporting a seamless legal process.
  • Conduct proceedings in accordance with procedural scripts and legal prompts to maintain consistency and accuracy. Sample scripts provided by Filevine upon contractor’s request.
  • Uphold confidentiality and maintain a composed, professional presence throughout each proceeding.

Qualifications

  • Active Notary Public license in the state listed in the job posting.
  • Strong internet connection and access to a quiet, professional workspace.
  • Video-enabled computer with necessary software capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work during standard business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday).
  • Familiarity with Zoom or other video conferencing software.
