About the role

Digital Reporter position within Filevine’s Depositions by Filevine network. Independent contractor (1099) role for notaries residing in the listed state, offering flexible remote work supporting remote legal proceedings with Zoom, transcript quality control, and procedural administration.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Zoom sessions with professionalism and warmth, creating a smooth experience for all participants.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues for attendees (e.g., muted audio, screen sharing).
  • Safeguard transcript quality by ensuring optimal audio conditions for the deposition transcription software.
  • Administer oaths, manage on/off-the-record moments, and handle procedural steps supporting a seamless legal process.
  • Conduct proceedings per established scripts and legal prompts to maintain consistency and accuracy; sample scripts provided by Filevine upon contractor request.
  • Uphold confidentiality and maintain a composed, professional presence throughout each proceeding.

Qualifications

  • Active Notary Public license in the state listed in the job posting.
  • Strong internet connection and access to a quiet, professional workspace.
  • Video-enabled computer with necessary software capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work during standard business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Monday–Friday).
  • Familiarity with Zoom or other video conferencing software.
  • Bonus: Experience in the legal industry.
