About the role

Senior Accountant role in a SAP S/4HANA environment focusing on complex closing processes, data quality, intercompany workflows, and automation to scale FINN’s global growth.

Responsibilities

  • Master the General Ledger: lead and reconcile general ledgers for selected entities ensuring lawful, complete accounting under HGB.
  • Drive financial closings: proactively advance monthly and annual closings; serve as a competent interface for audits and tax reviews.
  • Optimize data & automation: ensure data quality between operational subsystems and the general ledger; identify automation opportunities through targeted controls.
  • Manage complex structures: oversee complex financial instruments and drive special projects (e.g., ABS structures or receivables sales).
  • Streamline intercompany workflows: ensure smooth reconciliation and charging between group entities; establish efficient group-wide financial processes.
  • Ensure compliance & guidelines: ensure strict adherence to legal requirements and internal policies; act as a reliable sparring partner within the team.

Qualifications

  • Fundierte Accounting-Expertise: langjährige, praxisbewhrte Berufserfahrung in der Hauptbuchhaltung (General Ledger), idealerweise in dynamischem Finanzdienstleistungs-, Fintech- oder Scale-up-Umfeld.
  • Starke HGB- & Sonderstruktur-Kenntnisse: Fachwissen in der Bilanzierung nach HGB; Erfahrung mit komplexen Finanzinstrumenten (z. B. ABS-Strukturen oder Forderungsverkauf); passende Qualifikation als Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK).
  • System- & ERP-Affinität: Erfahrung in modernen ERP-Systemen (vorzugsweise SAP S/4HANA); analytische, strukturierte und zahlenaffine Arbeitsweise.
  • Lösungsorientierte Kommunikationsstärke: Teamgeist; Fähigkeit, komplexe Sachverhalte präzise zu vermitteln – Deutsch min. B2; gute Englischkenntnisse.
