About the role
Senior Accountant, CPG at Beast Industries supporting Feastables and other CPG businesses with GAAP reporting, inventory accounting, and close processes.
Responsibilities
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including inventory, accruals, and prepaid expenses
- Assist with cost accounting and inventory accounting processes, ensuring accuracy of inventory valuation and cost of goods sold
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify variances and support business decision-making
- Partner with Supply Chain and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting of inventory and production activities
- Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities as needed
- Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation for external auditors
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Contribute to improvements in accounting processes, systems, and reporting workflows
- Assist with NetSuite or ERP system maintenance, reconciliations, and reporting
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of accounting experience, ideally within Food & Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA required
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Experience with inventory and cost accounting in a CPG or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance teams
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred
