About the role

Senior Accountant responsible for GAAP-compliant reporting, inventory accounting, and supporting financial close for Feastables and other Beast Industries CPG businesses. Focus on building strong accounting processes, ensuring audit readiness, and cross-functional partnership to reflect operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including inventory, accruals, and prepaid expenses
  • Assist with cost accounting and inventory accounting processes, ensuring accuracy of inventory valuation and cost of goods sold
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify variances and support business decision-making
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting of inventory and production activities
  • Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities as needed
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation for external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
  • Contribute to improvements in accounting processes, systems, and reporting workflows
  • Assist with NetSuite or ERP system maintenance, reconciliations, and reporting

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of accounting experience, ideally within Food & Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA required
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with inventory and cost accounting in a CPG or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance teams
  • Strong communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred
