About the role

Full-time Student Accounts Specialist role on Campus Scholars team focused on processing ledger card charges, student billing, past due follow-up, account prorations, packaging non-title IV funding and collections processes.

Responsibilities

  • Package payment plans and set up automatic emails/texts payment reminders
  • Post student payments and respond to student inquiries regarding payment plans
  • Review and post charges after add/drop period
  • Remind students of delinquent payments and notify Student Success Coaches if a student becomes two months overdue
  • Notify Student Success Coaches if final payment in quarter has not been paid prior to term end
  • Work with Financial Aid to ensure packaging is updated for students who have been identified as not funded or underfunded
  • Work with Financial Aid before new academic year starts for continuing students to identify students that will have new payment plans and work with SAS II to get payment plans set up
  • Process student account prorations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or education (related field)
  • Minimum 2 years direct experience in student accounts in a college or university setting
  • Minimum 1 year experience in financial aid
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ethical and professional conduct with confidentiality of student information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audiences
  • Experience with Microsoft and Google applications
