About the role

Senior engineer role within the Core Infrastructure team at Nooks.ai, focusing on building scalable foundation across multiple products (Sequencing, Dialer, Agent Studio, Coaching) including data layer, observability, and developer tooling to support rapid multi-product expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Build infrastructure that makes every product team faster. Data models, APIs, observability, CI/CD — pick the area, own it across the company.
  • Keep the rails on while we go multi-product. Capacity, reliability, cost. Set the standards other teams build against.
  • Make foundational technical decisions. What’s the right shape for our data access layer when we’re querying across calls, prospects, and accounts? How do we attribute infra cost to product teams cleanly?
  • Mentor others on the team. Run code and design reviews, and pair on the hardest problems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of engineering experience, with depth in distributed systems, databases, or developer infrastructure. We don’t care which exact stack.
  • Production experience scaling systems through real growth (10x, 100x).
  • Strong opinions, held loosely, about good developer experience inside a fast-moving product team.
  • Comfortable being the engineer everyone else calls during an incident.
  • You make the rest of the team faster.
  • Based in San Francisco, excited to be in-office 3+ days per week.
