About the role

Graduate development program in AI for recent graduates to grow into AI professionals with a strong software engineering foundation, contributing to ION's products through ML/Generative AI work and production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art methodologies and technologies in an agile product development environment.
  • Contribute to the development of ION's products from requirements through delivery.
  • Design, develop, train, evaluate and iterate on Machine Learning models and Generative AI solutions.
  • Work with Language Models (LLMs) and related techniques (e.g., prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, fine-tuning, evaluation).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and ship innovative, high-impact products, solving complex technical problems and translating them into scalable, efficient solutions.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a STEM discipline — obtained within the last year or currently in progress, with a strong academic record
  • Programming experience in Python, Typescript, or JavaScript
  • Strong communicator, collaborative by nature, fluent in English (B2+)
  • Based in Italy or willing to relocate; non-EU candidates must hold a valid EU work permit
