About the role

Physician on the Virtual Care team providing asynchronous, AI-assisted patient care remotely in the United States. Fully remote, 32+ hours per week, with IMLC eligibility required.

Responsibilities

  • See patients across acute, primary, and longevity care over messages: diagnose, treat, triage, follow up
  • Practice with Counsel's AI to assist history-taking, differential, and messaging drafts
  • Maintain high standards for clinical reasoning and patient communication
  • Stay generalist and navigate to next-best care within the healthcare system as needed
  • Collaborate with CMO/VP of Care Delivery on guidelines, peer review, and clinical systems
  • Mentor newer clinicians and share effective practices
  • Contribute to shaping tools and workflows with clinicians-first mindset

Qualifications

  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
  • Member of the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) and hold an IMLC Letter of Qualification
  • 3+ years of post-residency clinical experience (urgent care, ER, primary care, or strong generalist mix)
  • Genuine interest in acute, primary, and longevity care
  • Comfort working in a fully virtual, asynchronous, messaging-based modality
  • 32+ hrs/week availability with flexible scheduling; shift blocks (EST): 7:30a–1p, 1p–6p, 6p–9p; limited evening and weekend coverage
  • Strong written communication
