About the role

Physician on the Virtual Care team providing AI-paired, asynchronous messaging-based care in a fully remote setting. Requires evenings/weekends availability and IMLC licensure. Contract-based employment with flexible structure (W2 or 1099).

Responsibilities

  • See patients across acute, primary, and longevity care over messages: diagnose, treat, triage, follow up
  • Practice with Counsel's AI to prep history, sharpen differential, and draft messages while applying clinical judgment
  • Maintain high standards for clinical reasoning, safety, and patient communication
  • Stay generalist and navigate patients to appropriate next steps in the healthcare system
  • Collaborate with the CMO/VP of Care Delivery on guidelines, peer review, and clinical systems
  • Mentor newer clinicians and share effective practices
  • Contribute to shaping tools and workflows with clinicians first philosophy

Qualifications

  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
  • Be a member of the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) and hold an IMLC Letter of Qualification
  • 3+ years of post-residency clinical experience (urgent care, ER, primary care, or strong generalist mix)
  • Genuine interest in acute, primary, and longevity care
  • Comfort working in a fully virtual, asynchronous, messaging-based modality
  • Strong written communication skills
