About the role

Exa is building a massive-scale AI-powered search infrastructure. As a Full Stack Engineer, you’ll work on the developer-facing platform (dashboard, APIs, SDKs, and related surfaces) used by developers and agents. The role emphasizes owning the product lifecycle from design to deployment, with a focus on frontend and backend APIs, and experience shipping products for AI/LLM-enabled systems.

Responsibilities

  • Build agentic onboarding flows that quickly get developers (and their agents) from sign-up to first integration
  • Shape the Exa API and SDKs into the cleanest, most ergonomic agentic search platform in the ecosystem
  • Architect the API gateway that every Exa request flows through
  • Build account, billing, permissions, and provisioning surfaces our enterprise customers need

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of fullstack engineering experience
  • You're fluent in TypeScript, with a strong eye for front-end design, and comfortable learning new tools and technology as the work calls for it
  • You've designed and maintained backend APIs that real users and customers depend on
  • You've shipped products for LLMs, AI agents, or other systems used by many people
