About the role

Store Floor Lead, FT at Sur La Table supports the General Manager or Store Manager by leading daily store operations as Manager on Duty, driving sales and delivering a best-in-center customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback; communicate performance issues to GM/SM.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of new associates.
  • Represent brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences; stay current on products and training resources.
  • Lead a customer-focused, Guest Obsessed culture and address customer concerns to maintain satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Support achievement of store sales goals through customer engagement and team motivation.
  • Identify customer needs and offer relevant solutions; maximize selling opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and contribute to store revenue; measure performance via KPIs (sales volume, AOV, conversion).
  • Direct employees to maintain appropriate stock levels and merchandising per visual standards.
  • Complete inventory transactions (receiving, MOS, RARs).
  • Adhere to wage and hour laws; record time worked per policy.
  • Model and enforce SLT policies and SOPs.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment.
  • 1 year of retail management experience, preferably in specialty or culinary retail.
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and retain a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Passion for community engagement and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.
