About the role

Software Engineer role focused on building systems to extract, connect, retrieve, and reason over knowledge from the web to enable precise and complete AI-driven answers.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain complex distributed backend systems.
  • Design and implement data pipelines processing petabytes of documents, metadata, and unstructured data.
  • Optimize systems for correctness, reliability, and scale.
  • Ensure high data quality and discoverability of high-quality information.
  • Work on systems involving graph traversal, entity resolution, data quality, or truth discovery (Plus).
  • Collaborate on projects like building a system to answer factual questions about individuals and designing a new query language for billions of facts.

Qualifications

  • Experience building and maintaining complex distributed backend systems.
  • Ability to build data pipelines processing petabytes of documents, metadata, and unstructured data.
  • Comfort with optimizing for correctness, reliability, and scale.
  • Strong emphasis on data quality and locating high-quality information.
  • Experience with graph traversal, entity resolution, data quality, or truth discovery is a plus.
