About the role

Store Floor Lead at Sur La Table Omaha, NE, supports the General Manager/Store Manager as Manager on Duty to drive sales, operations, and delivering a #bestincenter customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to elevate performance and team engagement.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of new associates.
  • Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
  • Maintain expertise by staying current on products and training resources.
  • Lead a customer-focused, Guest Obsessed culture and address customer concerns promptly.
  • Support achievement of store sales goals through effective customer engagement and team motivation.
  • Identify customer needs and offer relevant solutions to maximize selling opportunities.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals, contributing to store revenue.
  • Direct employees to ensure merchandise stock levels and proper merchandising per visual standards.
  • Complete inventory transactions including receiving, MOS (Mark Out of Stock), and RARs (Return Authorization Requests).
  • Adhere to wage and hour laws and accurately record time worked per SLT policy.
  • Model and enforce all policies and SOPs.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment.
  • 1 year of retail management experience, preferably in a specialty or culinary retail environment.
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire, develop, and retain a high performing team.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Passion for community engagement and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.
