About the role

Entry-level technical support role focused on onboarding, hardware deployment, and proactive issue resolution for Tarro’s restaurant clients, with Mandarin and English bilingual requirements. On-site in Philadelphia, standard full-time hours, with growth into more advanced technical tasks as Tarro expands its POS, Tarro Pay, and pizza vertical offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Get restaurants live by pre-configuring hardware (printers, cabling, telephony) and setting up the back end for go-live
  • Own the hardware end-to-end: configure and ship equipment, track shipments, ensure readiness on arrival
  • Provide onsite support and installation when needed
  • Catch problems early by monitoring system alerts and resolving outages
  • Investigate root causes and implement lasting fixes rather than patches
  • Ensure thorough resolutions and verify with the restaurant that issues are genuinely solved
  • Document work with clear issue/resolution records and escalate when necessary

Qualifications

  • Some experience in network operation or a related technical role
  • Comfort with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, LAN/WAN) and hands-on diagnostics
  • Comfort with the command line and with modems, routers, switches, and telephony gear
  • Ability to explain technical problems to non-technical customers and stay calm under frustration
  • Willingness to raise process improvements and smarter ways of doing things
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written)
