About the role

Staff level role focused on securing and maintaining the infrastructure for Databricks’ multi-cloud data enclaves and Generative AI software within air-gapped, highly secure GovCloud environments. Responsible for advanced debugging, environment analysis, tooling, and guiding secure pipeline operations in a SCIF environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical triage, infrastructure visibility, and incident resolution for multi-cloud data enclaves and GenAI software in air-gapped environments.
  • Unblock complex GovCloud system interactions and serve as the secure-zone operational interface for internal engineering teams.
  • Safely execute and adapt infrastructure scripts, automation tools, and diagnostic workflows within secure boundaries under modern access guidelines.
  • Identify and resolve systemic environment blocks, review configurations to ensure compliant patch deployment pipelines.
  • Navigate evolving operational frameworks within secure facilities (SCIF) and ensure GovCloud interactions meet federal security benchmarks.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
  • Current polygraph (Counterintelligence or Full Scope) highly desired.
  • 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Support Engineering, DevSecOps, or related technical operations.
  • High proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, or Java; able to read, edit, and troubleshoot software and infrastructure code.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Hands-on debugging and systems administration in major public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong Linux/Unix, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and automated patch deployment experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work from McLean, VA secure facility with potential 24x7 SCIF coverage.
