About the role

AI/ML Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) working with customers and Field Engineering to architect production-grade ML/AI applications on Databricks, focusing on GenAI, MLOps, and AI technologies. Hybrid role based in Mumbai, India.

Responsibilities

  • Architect production-level ML & AI workloads for customers using the Databricks platform (agents, end-to-end ML pipelines, training/inference optimization, cloud integrations, MLOps)
  • Serve as a trusted practitioner for enterprise GenAI solutions (RAG architectures, agentic systems, natural language querying of structured data, AI evaluation and observability, monitoring systems)
  • Build, scale, and optimize customer AI workloads and apply MLOps to productionize these workloads across domains
  • Provide advanced technical support to Solution Architects during technical sales (feature engineering, training, tracking, serving, model monitoring) and participate in the ML SME community
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to represent customer voice, influence product roadmap, and aid adoption of Databricks AI offerings

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on industry ML experience in:
  • ML Engineer: build/maintain production-grade cloud infrastructure for ML deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP) including drift monitoring
  • AI Engineer: experience with LLMs & agentic systems, vector databases, fine-tuning LLMs, AI guardrails, deploying LLMs with tools such as HuggingFace, Langchain, OpenAI

Required:Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experienceCommunication and teaching of technical conceptsCollaboration and lifelong learningTravel readiness
Nice to have:Customer-facing experience in pre-sales or post-sales (preferred)
