About the role

Senior Software Engineer responsible for design, development, deployment and operation of business-critical features, mentoring, and promoting best practices. Backend primarily using NodeJS/TypeScript, hosted on AWS, with integration to customers’ tools.

Responsibilities

  • Create, design, develop, test, and monitor your code in production autonomously and reliably
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to offer pragmatic solutions to real world problems and implement them end to end
  • Work with your team to design high quality, secure, and scalable solutions and be accountable for their execution
  • Obtain a good understanding of the business to provide relevant solutions to users and clients
  • Mentor and promote tech growth within the teams
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and architectures, demonstrate good judgment in their potential applications

Qualifications

  • At least 7+ years experience in back-end development, using TypeScript & NodeJS/Python/Ruby/Rails or other languages, with focus on security, scalability, availability, and performance
  • Extensive experience with AWS in a production environment, preferably for high volume / high availability services
  • Experience working on frontend applications is a big plus, preferably with React
  • Value code simplicity, quality, performance and maintainability
  • Ability to design pragmatic & simple architectures to solve problems at scale
  • Effective and proactive communication skills, and ability to collaborate with different profiles and roles
