About the role

CompassX is a boutique business and technology consulting firm delivering strategic initiatives across industries. The role focuses on leading technology implementations and delivering multi-workstream programs in a boutique consulting environment, with an emphasis on AI-enabled delivery and potential work in business analysis, change management, and process design.

Responsibilities

  • - Own Program Delivery: Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology implementation programs - scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder alignment across the full lifecycle.
  • - Drive Cross-Functional Coordination: Keep delivery teams aligned, unblocked, and moving; surface issues early and resolve them before escalations.
  • - Manage Senior Stakeholders: Build and maintain trusted relationships with client leadership; communicate program status and navigate organizational dynamics.
  • - Build and Run the PMO: Stand up project infrastructure: governance cadences, RAID logs, status reporting, decision logs, and change control processes.
  • - Flex Into Adjacent Needs: Contribute beyond pure PM work—business analysis, requirements facilitation, change management planning, or vendor coordination.
  • - Leverage AI for Delivery: Use AI tools to improve program reporting, risk synthesis, meeting follow-up, and stakeholder communications; help clients build AI-enabled delivery practices.

Qualifications

  • - Technology Implementation Experience: 5–10 years managing enterprise technology programs (ERP rollouts, data platform implementations, digital transformation).
  • - Consulting Background: Experience in a consulting or professional services context.
  • - Delivery Rigor: Strong command of program and project management fundamentals; PMP or equivalent experience welcomed.
  • - Stakeholder Presence: Comfortable presenting to senior client leadership in complex environments.
  • - Secondary Skill: Complementary capability like business analysis, process design, change management, data literacy, or technical fluency.
  • - AI-Forward Mindset: Experience using AI tools to improve delivery velocity and outcomes.
  • - Local Presence: Based in LA or Orange County with ability to be on-site in SoCal when required.
