About the role

Engineering Manager in the Tooling & Security department responsible for maintaining and improving internal tooling, cloud governance and security; leads an international engineering team to enable secure, efficient work at FINN.

Responsibilities

  • Hire and lead an incredible team: Be the technical role model and coach team members on a daily basis.
  • Best software for FINN: Contribute to and lead development of internal tooling for cloud governance, security detection and automation, IT management, and more.
  • Strive for excellence: Deliver the best possible user experience and follow engineering best practices.
  • Build it, run it: Build features with a ‘build it, run it’ mindset and be responsible for testing, deploying, and monitoring your code. We believe in Serverless!

Qualifications

  • Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a similar field.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience in larger projects.
  • 2+ years of experience building and leading a team of software engineers in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Experience with platform or security engineering practices; hands-on experience with leading disaster recovery and incident response efforts.
  • Ability to own and drive company-wide technical projects (e.g., migrations, patching) from a coordinator role.
  • Solid knowledge of TS, Python, or Go, with ability to code and review code without AI.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS or GCP, with willingness to learn the other quickly.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
