About the role

Role building and operating Parallel's large-scale full-text web index, from corpus curation and indexing structures to signals/models for source quality and freshness, and fast, cost-effective query serving.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate systems for large-scale full-text web indexing.
  • Decide what belongs in the corpus and how it is stored.
  • Develop signals and models to judge source quality and freshness.
  • Serve queries against the index quickly and economically.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks and evolve architecture to meet increasing demand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience
  • A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
  • Years of experience correlated with internal job level requirements for this position
