Responsibilities

  • Work with your team to build infrastructure for the Databricks platform at scale.
  • Support Databricks' growth by building foundational infrastructure platforms across multiple regions and cloud providers.
  • Implement cloud-agnostic infrastructure abstractions to help engineers manage and operate services.
  • Develop tools and processes that drive engineering efficiency (languages, linters, static analysis, IDEs, remote development environments, automated release pipelines, test automation frameworks).
  • Focus on optimizing the Rust development experience across the organization.

Qualifications

  • BS (or higher) in Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of production level experience in Python, Java, Scala, C++, or similar language
  • Experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch
  • Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures
  • Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Scala, or Go
  • Hands-on experience in developing and operating backend systems
  • Ability to contribute effectively through all project phases from design to operations, with guidance from senior team members
