About the role

Founding Engineer at Prox focused on building multimodal knowledge engines and AI product specialists for complex physical products. In-person role in San Francisco with a high-responsibility, high-impact scope and equity compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge Engine: build core engine that stores, relates, and reasons over product knowledge (manuals, compatibility matrices, installation guides, field observations, tribal knowledge).
  • Emotionally Intelligent Voice AI: develop phone support with tone/intent understanding, SIP/trunking, telephony infrastructure, audio processing.
  • Code Generation as a Primitive: generate real-time diagrams, interactive schematics, and visual walkthroughs via code when words are insufficient.
  • Owning Customers: manage customer contracts end-to-end including demos, deployments, onboarding, and pilots.

  • Experience: Any (new grads ok)
  • Visa: US citizen/visa only
