About the role

Store Floor Lead, FT at Sur La Table provides leadership on the sales floor, serves as Manager on Duty (MOD), drives in-store performance and delivers a best-in-class customer experience to support store sales and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to elevate performance and team engagement.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of new associates.
  • Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
  • Stay current on products and engage in training to maintain expertise.
  • Lead a customer-focused, Guest Obsessed culture and address customer concerns in a timely manner.
  • Support achievement of store sales goals through effective customer engagement and team motivation.
  • Identify customer needs and offer relevant solutions to maximize selling opportunities.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals and contribute to store revenue.
  • Direct employees to ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels and adequate merchandising per visual standards.
  • Complete inventory transactions including receiving, MOS, and RARs.
  • Adhere to wage and hour laws and accurately record time worked per policy.
  • Model and communicate SLT policies and SOPs to associates and ensure adherence.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment.
  • 1 year of retail management experience, preferably in a specialty or culinary retail environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and retain a high performing team.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.
