About the role

Deployment Engineer responsible for getting Squint live at customer sites, writing production code to adapt the platform to each customer, and embedding with named accounts to convert operational problems into shipped deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Own deployments end-to-end: kickoff to go-live with no handoffs
  • Build, don't just configure: write production code, integrations, custom workflows, data pipelines
  • Go where the work is: spend time on factory floors and in the field
  • Close the loop with product: turn field learnings into feedback for roadmap
  • Earn trust at every level: be the primary point of contact to make Squint work for customers

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience — full-stack, backend, or infrastructure
  • Experience working directly with customers or embedded in a customer's environment (consulting, forward-deployed, or startup implementation experience a strong plus)
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action over process
  • Genuine interest in industrial operations — manufacturing, field services, or utilities experience is a differentiator, not a requirement
