About the role

IT & Security Ops Manager responsible for the systems, tools, and infrastructure that keep Squint productive and secure, with ownership of onboarding/offboarding, vendor management, security hygiene, and SOC 2/compliance readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Own our internal systems: manage SaaS tools, devices, and access; provisioning, deprovisioning, and everything in between
  • Run IT for onboarding and offboarding: ensure new hires have what they need on day one and access is removed when someone leaves
  • Manage vendors and procurement: relationships with software and hardware vendors, selection, contracting, renewals, and spend tracking
  • Keep the basics tight: foundational security hygiene (access management, device policies, SSO) in partnership with Engineering
  • Support compliance and audits: maintain SOC 2 controls, pull evidence, keep access reviews and device policies audit-ready, work with Finance/Legal and auditors
  • Be the go-to for IT issues: act as first call when something breaks and build tooling/runbooks to prevent issues

Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or similar role, ideally at a startup
  • Experience managing SaaS tooling, device fleets, and vendor relationships
  • Working knowledge of core security practices (SSO, access management, device management); experience supporting SOC 2 or similar compliance programs is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and a bias toward clear documentation
