About the role

Artie is a real-time streaming platform for data across databases and warehouses. The role is an in-person Product Engineer position in San Francisco, focused on building features, engaging with customers, and contributing across the stack in a distributed systems/data engineering context.

Responsibilities

  • Talking to customers (technical background) to streamline workflows and improve UX
  • Building new features into the product (e.g., column exclusion, encryption, schema change alerts)
  • Improving internal tooling and build automation to simplify shipping features and managing infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Strong fundamentals in computer science or related field
  • 4+ years of experience with web development and startups
  • Pragmatic, user-focused mindset; builds the right thing over being right
  • Comfortable jumping around the stack and wearing different hats
  • Passionate about building easy-to-use, extensible products
  • Proficiency writing in Go is preferred, but not required
  • Happy to work in-person 5 days/week in San Francisco’s Financial District
