About the role

Experienced comedy coach to teach stand-up, improv, and comedy writing while guiding clients’ career development in comedy, including performance coaching, branding, and freelancing support.

Responsibilities

  • Teach core stand-up comedy techniques, improv training, and comedy timing
  • Help clients sharpen joke writing and comedy writing skills
  • Provide performance coaching, audience engagement, and branding for comedians
  • Offer practical guidance on open mics, show production, and touring strategy
  • Career coaching: resume review, LinkedIn review, cover letter guidance, interview prep, networking strategy, and salary negotiation
  • Support broader skill building and freelancing opportunities in comedy

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in stand-up, improv, or comedy writing (performer, writer, or industry professional)
  • Strong understanding of what it takes to succeed on stage and build a comedy career
  • Clear, structured coaching approach
  • Ability to set own hours and rates, host sessions virtually
