About the role

Experienced bar exam tutor to work with students preparing for the bar across core subject areas (constitutional law, contracts, criminal law and procedure, evidence, real property, torts). Responsibilities include assessing starting point, creating tailored study plans, teaching core content and test prep strategy, and helping students build accuracy, retention, and confidence leading up to exam day.

Responsibilities

  • Assess each student's starting point and create a tailored study plan
  • Teach core content and test prep strategy across constitutional law, contracts, criminal law and procedure, evidence, real property, and torts
  • Help students build accuracy, retention, and confidence leading up to exam day
  • Host sessions virtually
  • Set own hours and rates
  • Collaborate with the Leland team to deliver a high-quality, supportive experience for every student

Qualifications

  • Passed the bar exam
  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience
  • Clear, structured approach to breaking down complex legal concepts
