About the role

Experienced Chess & Board Games Coach to review and analyze games, build opening repertoires, and develop middlegame and endgame strategy. Personalized rating-improvement plans, tactics, time management, and tournament preparation. Remote contract coaching with flexible hours and rates.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and analyzing games
  • Building a strong opening repertoire
  • Developing middlegame strategy and endgame technique
  • Strengthening tactics and calculation
  • Improving time management and clock skills
  • Preparing players for upcoming tournaments
  • Creating and guiding personalized rating improvement plans
  • Supporting newer players in exploring the game to identify interests and strengths
  • Hosting sessions virtually in collaboration with the team

Qualifications

  • Strong competitive chess or board games background
  • Prior coaching or teaching experience
  • Clear, structured approach to helping players learn from their games
