About the role

Experienced ASVAB tutor needed to work with students preparing for the ASVAB across multiple subject areas, assess starting points, create tailored study plans, and teach test prep strategies to improve accuracy, pacing, and confidence leading up to test day. Remote contract role with flexible hours and virtual sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Assess each student’s starting point and learning needs
  • Create tailored study plans
  • Teach test prep strategies to improve accuracy, pacing, and confidence
  • Tutor across ASVAB subject areas (arithmetic reasoning, mechanical comprehension, electronics information, auto and shop information, general science, English expression) and related knowledge areas (U.S. government and Constitution, political science, national security, international relations, history and culture, geography, economics)
  • Host sessions virtually
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver a high-quality, supportive experience for every student
  • Set own hours and rates

Qualifications

  • Strong ASVAB score
  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience
  • Clear, structured approach to breaking down complex material
