About the role

Internship providing real-world exposure to Jane Street’s trading environment. Interns are paired with full-time mentors and work on projects similar to those done by staff, learning how to engage with institutional clients across asset classes and gaining broader fundamentals of finance and trading through internal classes.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside experienced Sales people and Sales-Traders to engage and cover institutional clients on their trading needs
  • Learn how Jane Street services clients, issuers, and prospective clients
  • Attend internal classes on various topics to learn broader fundamentals of finance and trading

Qualifications

  • Planning to graduate in 2028
  • Studying towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Curious about financial markets and eager to learn in a rapidly changing environment
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, staying calm and effective under pressure
  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to recover quickly from setbacks and learn from mistakes
  • A proactive, self-motivated problem-solver excited about building relationships with clients and partners
  • Highly analytical and logical, comfortable working with numbers and data
  • Extremely organized with excellent attention to detail, even when managing competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
