About the role

Full-time Cybersecurity Engineer based in London to protect Jane Street's people, data, and infrastructure. Responsibilities include firm-wide defenses, advisory support to other groups, leading employee cybersecurity awareness, and handling event analysis and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Protect firm-wide defenses and security posture
  • Provide expertise and advice to other groups on security matters
  • Lead employee cybersecurity awareness efforts
  • Handle event analysis and incident response responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Strong scripting or programming skills with ability to automate in a real programming language
  • Experience managing code and configurations in version control
  • Strong understanding of threat modeling and risk trade-offs
  • Good personal cybersecurity hygiene and ability to explain tradeoffs to others
  • Active awareness of cybersecurity developments and ability to differentiate threats from day-to-day matters
  • Positive and collaborative attitude with ability to bring others along on security journey
  • Fluency in English
