Full-time Cybersecurity Engineer in Hong Kong joining Jane Street to protect people, data, and infrastructure. Responsibilities include firm-wide defenses, advising other groups, leading cybersecurity awareness, and handling event analysis and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Work on firm-wide defenses and provide expertise to other groups
  • Lead employee cybersecurity awareness efforts
  • Handle event analysis and incident response responsibilities
  • Explain the rationale behind security practices and trade-offs in cybersecurity decisions

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English required
  • Strong scripting or programming skills with ability to automate in a real programming language
  • Experience managing code and configurations in version control
  • Understanding of threat modeling and context-aware security decisions
  • Knowledge of personal cybersecurity hygiene and ability to explain practices (e.g., password managers)
  • Engagement with cybersecurity developments and trends
  • Positive and collaborative attitude with ability to bring others along in security initiatives
