About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to turn messy, real-world datasets into reliable inputs for research and trading. You’ll work with trading desks to identify data needs, evaluate datasets, and build pipelines that ingest and transform external data, shaping systems and tools used daily.

Responsibilities

  • Turn messy, real-world datasets into reliable inputs for research and trading
  • Work closely with trading desks to identify data needs, evaluate datasets, and build pipelines that ingest and transform external data
  • Figure out what data means and how best to represent it
  • Develop deep expertise in data domains and decide what to build next
  • Own your work from end to end
  • Contribute to shaping the systems you use daily

Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in any language (Python a plus)
  • Proficient with SQL or DataFrame libraries like pandas or Polars
  • Intellectually curious with a meticulous approach to data investigation
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • Prior experience with financial data is helpful but not required

Benefits

  • Base salary is $175,000 - $300,000
