About the role

Data Specialist to understand, improve, and maintain the data that fuels trading. Embedded in an engineering team, collaborating with software developers, traders, and operations to analyze, onboard, validate, and produce large data sets from multiple sources, interfacing with exchanges and data vendors to resolve issues and develop domain knowledge for interpreting data and driving business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing, onboarding, validating, and producing large data sets from many different sources
  • Collaborating with engineering teams, traders, and operations to understand requirements and improve software
  • Interfacing directly with exchanges and data vendors to raise, track, and resolve issues critical to trading
  • Developing deep domain knowledge to interpret and consume data for business growth

Qualifications

  • Strong data analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
  • Programming experience in any language
  • Experience using SQL and relational databases
  • Responsible, organised, with great attention to detail
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Operations, support, and/or project coordination experience is a plus
  • Prior experience with financial data is optional but not required
