About the role

We are looking for a FIX Onboarding and Connectivity Engineer to help grow both proprietary trading capabilities and client-facing trading by working on technical processes that enable access to new products and exchanges, and onboarding external clients to trade with Jane Street. The role involves coordinating with trading, infrastructure, and external parties to deliver onboarding projects from request through production, with a focus on onboarding and connectivity across both proprietary and client-facing trading.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritise requests from the trading desks and drive onboarding/connectivity projects from initiation to production.
  • Collaborate with developers, infrastructure engineers, and external parties to implement connectivity solutions.
  • Bridge communications between clients, trading teams, and technology teams.
  • Implement and improve onboarding processes and related best practices.
  • Contribute to project planning, coordination, and delivery across multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Interest in learning the microstructure of different exchanges and trading systems
  • Proficiency in coding and software engineering experience is valued
  • Excellent coordination and project management across multiple stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to learn new, complicated, and ever-changing systems
  • Fluent in English
