About the role

We are looking for a FIX Onboarding and Connectivity Engineer to help grow trading capabilities and client-facing trading, focusing on onboarding, connectivity, and production deployment across proprietary and client-facing desks. The role involves coordinating with trading, development, and external parties to implement and improve connectivity to exchanges and products, and onboarding external clients to trade with Jane Street.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritise onboarding and connectivity requests from trading desks; work with developers, infrastructure engineers, and external parties; see onboarding processes through to production.
  • Bridge the gap between clients, trading teams, and technology teams requiring strong communication and coordination.

Qualifications

  • Interested in learning about the microstructure of different exchanges and trading systems
  • Proficient with coding; software engineering experience (building apps) highly valued
  • Excellent coordinator and project management skills across multiple stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with clear written and verbal communication
  • Able to learn new, complicated, and ever-changing systems
  • Fluent in English
