About the role

Procurement Specialist to source IT hardware across Jane Street’s offices, data centers, and colocations in the Americas, including servers, networking, storage, and desktop equipment. Responsible for RFQs, vendor negotiations, purchase orders, logistics coordination, invoice review, and end-to-end purchasing process.

Responsibilities

  • Source IT hardware across offices, data centers, and colocations in the Americas (servers, networking, storage, desktop equipment).
  • Raise purchase orders and coordinate logistics.
  • Collaborate with Data Center, Networking, IT, and Procurement teams and external vendors.
  • Enter purchase requests into procurement system, obtain RFQs, negotiate with vendors, provide stakeholders with buying options (price, availability, lead time).
  • Place orders, track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Review invoices for accuracy and request corrections as needed.
  • Take initiative, follow up, and close the loop on all purchases and discrepancies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, IT, engineering, or related technical field
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong background in Excel, knowledge of RFQ and ordering processes, and experience negotiating with suppliers
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Excellent communicator; concise problem description
  • Self-starter able to manage several deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player who enjoys collaboration

Benefits

  • Base salary is $100,000 - $150,000. Base salary is only one part of Jane Street total compensation, which includes an annual discretionary bonus.
