About the role

Experienced Financial Transmission Right (FTR) trader to help trade congestion products in multiple ISO/RTOs, conduct research, and design trading strategies. Join the FTR team in New York, collaborate with analysts and other traders, analyze trades and positions, examine ideas, and mentor analysts.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as an FTR trader or similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of any ISO/RTO
  • Experience with the complete life cycle of a strategy and risk management of the portfolio
  • Experience with modeling and programming techniques
  • Analytical; comfortable leveraging probability and statistics to solve problems
  • Reliable and flexible team player with a positive attitude
  • Comfortable working and making decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated self-starter capable of handling competing priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Eager to learn, adaptive, responsible

Benefits

  • Base salary is $250,000 - $300,000. Base salary is only one part of Jane Street total compensation, which includes an annual discretionary bonus.
