About the role

Experienced accountant to join the Financial Reporting team, primarily maintaining books and records for APAC businesses and coordinating with regional and global accounting teams to review monthly and annual financial statements.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing various accounting reconciliations and financial schedules that support the financial statements
  • Collaborating with outside auditors and advisors on accounting policy decisions, GAAP interpretations and internal control documentation and decisions
  • Working closely with other team members, including members of our accounting-specific technology team, to improve processes and ensure the team’s goals are met

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and qualified accountant with relevant accountancy credentials
  • 10+ years of experience in an accounting role (private and public preferred), including experience with reviewing financial statements and account reconciliations
  • Familiar with relevant regulatory regimes with in-depth knowledge of either US GAAP or IFRS, and understanding of financial statements and legal entity reporting
  • Ability to research and interpret accounting literature; experience in preparing technical accounting papers
  • Self-motivated to improve processes; organized with strong communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
  • Excellent time management and ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; detail-oriented with a can-do attitude
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Workday is a plus
  • Fluent in English
