About the role

Educator to develop and deliver OxCaml educational materials and courses for Jane Street engineers, spanning OCaml Bootcamp expansion, tutorials for advanced OxCaml features, and mentoring other teachers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop materials and deliver courses to teach engineers how to use OxCaml effectively
  • Expand OCaml Bootcamp for new hires to use OxCaml
  • Develop tutorials to level-up experienced developers with OxCaml's advanced features
  • Mentor and help others involved in teaching grow their skills
  • Collaborate with language designers and implementers to build the educational component of OxCaml

Qualifications

  • Skilled, effective, and experienced teacher
  • Strong writing and presenting abilities
  • Proven ability to write code and actively code as part of the role
  • Ability to teach directly and develop curricula
  • Ability to mentor other budding teachers
  • Understanding of Jane Street's technology stack
