About the role
Educator role focused on developing and delivering machine learning education programs at Jane Street, including introductory ML, AI assistants, internal ML training stack, and performance reasoning. Combines teaching, curriculum development, and hands-on ML research within Jane Street’s ML-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow ML educational programs and classes spanning topics such as an introduction to general ML, efficient use of AI assistants, our internal stack for training models, and how to reason about performance.
- Be an effective writer and presenter, and spend a significant fraction of time coding as part of machine learning research.
- Mentor other budding teachers, helping to develop curricula and grow teaching skills in others.
- Teach ML topics in university or industry settings; contribute to the education ecosystem at Jane Street.
Qualifications
- Skilled, effective, and experienced teacher
- Good at writing code and comfortable doing hands-on ML research
- Experience teaching ML topics in university or industry settings
