About the role

Experienced Travel Manager to lead the NYC travel team and evolve Jane Street's US travel program, partnering with global teams to deliver best-in-class travel experiences for colleagues and candidates, while driving process improvement and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing travel strategy for the US region, partnering with global teams to ensure alignment while addressing local market nuances
  • Managing vendor relationships and negotiations with travel suppliers
  • Overseeing day-to-day travel operations, including bookings and expense processing
  • Leading process improvement initiatives
  • Championing the culture of Jane Street and ensuring smooth travel experiences for colleagues and visitors

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in corporate travel management; previous experience managing a team is a plus
  • Strategic thinker who can balance big-picture vision with operational excellence
  • Reliable, courteous, and flexible team player with a great customer service attitude
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and navigating change
  • Able to multitask and prioritize varying, sometimes competing requests
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working independently, making decisions quickly, and taking initiative to close the loop on outstanding issues
  • Can work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings and evening hours to handle urgent travel needs
  • Experienced with Google Workspace, Excel, and travel management platforms
  • Ideally experienced with expense management systems (Workday or similar) and corporate card programs (but not required)
  • Ideally experienced with Jira or similar systems (but not required)

Benefits

  • Base salary is $160,000 - $180,000. Base salary is only one part of Jane Street total compensation, which includes an annual discretionary bonus.
