About the role

Senior backend and data-focused role building AI-native predictive analytics platform, owning end-to-end data/AI systems from design to production, with emphasis on rapid shipping, architectural decision-making, and AI tooling as a workflow multiplier.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and own scalable data and ML pipelines, backend services, and AI-powered capabilities that are part of the platform's production decision-making layer.
  • Daily shipping with safe incremental delivery, using feature flags, canary releases, and rollback architecture to manage risk.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tooling as a core workflow multiplier and evaluate emerging AI tools with hands-on engagement.
  • Own work from design through production deployment, monitoring, cost, and business impact, including CI/CD, observability, and domain-level outcomes.
  • Make pragmatic architectural decisions balancing modern AI/data tech with reliability, cost, and delivery speed; document decisions in ADRs.
  • Collaborate with product, design, infrastructure, and GTM teams to translate customer/business needs into technical solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years building and shipping production-grade back end and data systems in distributed cloud environments (AWS and/or GCP).
  • Hands-on AI/ML integration in production workflows (AI/LLM/agent components in runtime).
  • Active use of AI-assisted development tooling as a workflow multiplier (e.g., Copilot, Cursor).
  • Strong backend expertise in Java (Spring Boot), Python, and/or Go; experience with relational and non-relational databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in automated testing, CI/CD, and observability.
  • High-velocity ownership mindset and ability to deliver through small, incremental deliveries.
