About the role

Finance & Strategy Associate at Conveo, a YC-backed AI research platform, reporting to the CFO and founders. Role combines hands-on financial operations with strategic analyses to support hypergrowth and fundraising efforts, with potential to shift toward broader strategy and GTM work over time.

Responsibilities

  • Operator and guardian of Conveo’s financials; work with founders and leadership across divisions to drive discussions on capital, revenue and expenses, hiring, and growth
  • Financial architecture: design, implement, and optimise financial systems, processes, and internal controls to scale from 70 to 200+ people
  • Cash & runway mastery: provide real-time clarity on cash burn and liquidity management
  • Finance operations: manage A/R & A/P, compliance, transfer pricing, VAT, budgeting
  • Financial strategy & planning: build financial models, hiring plans, scenario analyses, KPI tracking
  • Accounting: coordinate with accountants to close and consolidate books across US, UK, BE entities
  • Investor & board reporting: own reporting for investors and support fundraising due diligence
  • Business orchestration: ESOP & commission plans, pricing, deal economics, capital allocation
  • Fundraising: Series B preparation and financial due diligence
  • Research markets and competitors: map verticals and surface strategic insights
  • Support sales enablement: create battlecards and materials for the sales team

Qualifications

  • 1–4 years of experience (investment banking, consulting, PE/VC, or high-growth startup)
  • Model mastery: three-statement modelling, scenario analysis, business cases, ad-hoc models
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to translate numbers for non-finance stakeholders
  • High interest in high-growth startups
  • Strong SaaS metrics understanding: ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, burn multiple
  • Familiarity with accounting
  • Available to start in August
  • Willingness to work in UK or BE
  • Fluent in English
